Jonathan Fisher carved the wood blocks, inked and printed by hand an image of each of the 142 creatures named in the Bible. He had the volume printed and titled it - Natural History of the Living Creatures named in the Bible, Written Especially for Youth.

The woodcuts he made for the book are still preserved in Blue Hill at The Jonathan Fisher Memorial.
